Having vast hair knowledge, Arturo De Vera was one of the original owners of the salon and has been a major contributor to our team for over 30 years as an experienced and passionate stylist.
At Avant Garde, customers will find him highly personable yet professional when it comes to delivering beautiful results for their hair care needs. Now, if you have long hair and are thinking about going short, Arturo is probably your guy! Arturo has extensive hair-cutting experience which makes him a perfectionist when it comes to your hair. He takes pride in making sure expectations are met upfront so that clients can maintain their desired look on a daily basis.
Arturo has a specialization in haircuts and has had extensive training from around the world in places like Spain, New York, and of course Miami. Moreover, he has certifications with Sebastian International and Jingles in New York.

Arturo’s been a part of several beauty teams that have traveled to exotic places like Maui, Mexico, and Spain making sure Univision anchors and actors were always looking fabulous. He’s trained with the likes of Paul Mitchell, and Sam Villa and a short stint with Vidal Sassoon.
On a personal level…
Born in Cuba, Arturo loves to travel especially to the Florida Keys where he enjoys boating and fishing during his time off. Arturo is married with two sons whom he loves spending time with outdoors enjoying activities such as wakeboarding, exercising, and fishing (an activity at which he proudly proclaims to have caught his wife!) Above all, Arturo is a family man who speaks the truth with honesty and integrity, values that make him stand out from the rest!
