Arturo has deep roots at Avant-Garde and Hair Knowledge

He was one of the original owners of the salon and has been a major contributor to our team for over 30 years.


He is a hair cutting specialist as he has always preferred to share the hair coloring with the other stylists to spread the work around. Now, if you have long hair and are thinking about going short, Arturo is probably your guy! He has extensive training from around the world in places like Spain, New York and of course here in Miami.


Arturo has certifications with Sebastian International and Jingles in New York. He’s been a part of several beauty teams that have traveled to exotic places like Maui, Mexico and Spain making sure Univision anchors and actors were always looking fabulous. He’s trained with the likes of Paul Mitchell, Sam Villa and a short stint with Vidal Sassoon. He has extensive hair cutting experience which makes him a perfectionist when it comes to your hair - a main reason why you should consider Arturo if you’re looking for a new stylist.


As a new customer in Arturo’s chair, he wants to know about you and your lifestyle. Initially, he’s going to ask questions to determine what you’re looking for because he wants to know what your expectations are upfront so he can best determine how to achieve the look you desire. He’s been around hair for a long time and he’ll make sure that you’re happy and realistic with what works for your lifestyle. He makes sure to suggest a look that you’ll be able to maintain on a daily basis.

Arturo is a family man. He is married with two boys that he really enjoys spending time with. They are an athletic family that really enjoys outdoor activities like wake boarding, exercising and fishing.
